What is the process after I book?
Once your deposit has been processed, you’ll receive an email confirming the date, time and location of your booking, along with our client agreement and the option to choose your preferred background colours. We also meet for a quick phone call before your session, chat through some details and make sure you and your dog(s) have the best experience during our photo shoot!
What is the cut off date for Christmas Portraits?
The final date to ensure your order arrives in time for Christmas is December 10th. Orders placed after this date may not be delivered before Christmas.
Please note that this deadline assumes prompt approval of your artwork with minimal revisions.
How do I prepare for my dog's photoshoot?
Please bring your Hound’s favourite treats and toys, as well as any props you’d like to see in the photos. If not, no problem, we have treats and toys in the studio. In case your pup is extra furry or long-haired, consider a little grooming before the shoot, especially around the eyes. Seeing your beautiful pup’s eyes is crucial, and a little trim or brush can work wonders.
What happens once I arrive?
After you’ve arrived in our private, enclosed studio, your dog will be off-leash and able to explore their surroundings. Once all the sniffing is done and the Hound gets settled, we introduce ourselves and make sure they’ll be comfortable with our camera and lighting equipment. Now let’s get into the fun part of taking photos! As always, your dog’s comfort and happiness are our top priority.
My dog can be reactive, what about other dogs?
Our studio is private and enclosed. There will be no other dogs at your photo shoot. Before and after the session there will be plenty of time for your pup to play and explore on its own and as needed. We’re never in any rush 🙂
Can I bring more than one dog?
Sure! The fee for a second dog is $100. In case you have more than two, please message or call Bettina to discuss details: 604-644-9682 or studio@happyhoundphotography.com
Can I get a photo with my dog?
Of course! We’ll be happy to take a photo of you and your Hound towards the end of the session.
What if I need to reschedule?
You can reschedule up to 5 days before your session with no penalty. If you reschedule within 5 days of your session, a $100 rebooking fee will apply. The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations.
Will Santa deliver my pet art in time for Christmas?
To increase the odds of a Christmas delivery, I recommend that you place any orders well in advance of Christmas.
